Brian works at a startup in Los Angeles but has secretly been planning his debut on the World Surf League. He has also played such roles as TV producer, management consultant, admissions consultant, and substitute Mandarin high school teacher.
Brian’s taste in books is eclectic, ranging from Greek/Roman mythology, the Arthurian legend, and anything related to the Chronicles of Narnia to science fiction, the Civil War, chess, and detective novels. He believes Nabokhov’s Pale Fire is the most confusing yet exuberantly virtuosic prose yet written, but his literary comfort food of choice will always be the short stories of Fitzgerald and Hemingway.
Brian earned a BA from Williams College and an MBA from Wharton. He lives in Santa Monica. The dog in the photo is his work wife.
