Kristopher Jansma has the distinction of being the only individual to appear on Book Talk as a guest reader following his appearance as an author (check out our episode featuring his wonderful novel Why We Came to the City, now in paperback). His first novel, The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards, won the Sherwood Anderson Foundation Fiction Award. A graduate of Columbia University’s MFA program, Kris is now an assistant professor of English and creative writing at SUNY New Paltz and a graduate lecturer in fiction at Sarah Lawrence College. Kris has written for The New York Times, Salon, The Believer, The Millions, Slice, BOMB, and Electric Literature.
